The staff at The Welbeck were incredibly accomodating and friendly. The rooms were great value for the price. We were a mixed group of 7 and this was not a problem. The staff were always on hand to serve in the bar even if it was just water the morning after the night before. We will definitely book here again

My stay at the hotel was marred by Booked.net charging me for my stay and because of some problem with my card, I had to send a cheque in advance for twenty pounds and pay the balance on arrival with no problem, using the same card that you said had a problem. I have not checke dmy statements at the bank yet! but feel that I have been double charged.

I was very disappointed and disliked being in the hotel and only enjoyed mystay while out site seeing.
My family and I did not enjoy our stay at the welbeck at all the rooms were dirty with stains on the carpets and bed valences. The curtains in our room where hanging off and their was toothpaste splashes on the mirror in the bathroom. I have plenty of other negitive comments to make on the Welbeck but feel it unfair to disclose all at this time.

Location of the hotel was fine and was near to tram stops.
The hotel is badly in need of refurbishment. I had a cracked window in the bedroom. No handles on the windows and therefore was draughty. Faulty light in bathroom which was difficult to switch on and off, a hole in bathroom floor (covered up with paper bath mat). The carpets were filthy, Mould in bathroom, Curtains/pelmets hanging off. Thank god I was only staying for one night. It's truly awful. Don't book this place.

The seaview was incredible but unfortunately the other two couples who were with us did not have.
One of the towels was stained and the the bedress of one of the beds was broken. Also on one night a noisy group of youths residing next to our room entered drunk and waked us up in the middle of the night! Awful! I told the staff but said that if they do it again I should go down to reception at that moment! (Crazy as if I would go down 3 floors of stairs with my pyjamas on!!!) Also there was no lift working and we were on the 3rd floor and had many luggages to carry!

The distance from the town.
I feel that the rooms need to be brought up to date. A room needs more than 1 electric socket for example,
